Accessibility
Roman Empire Print Shop wants everyone to be able to use our websites, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
Accessibility menu (ADA)
Every page of our site has an accessibility menu. Look for the round wheelchair (accessibility) symbol in the bottom-left corner of the screen and select it, or press Tab until you reach "Accessibility menu" and press Enter. You can turn on:
- Bigger Text - 115%, 130% or 150%
- Contrast - dark or light high-contrast colors
- Highlight Links - underlines and outlines every link
- Readable Font - a plain, dyslexia-friendly font
- Text Spacing - more space between letters, words and lines
- Pause Animations - stops scrolling banners, slideshows and video
- Hide Images and Big Cursor
Your choices stay on for your next visit in the same browser. Reset All turns everything off. The menu works with a keyboard (Esc closes it), screen readers and touch screens, alongside your own browser zoom and system settings.
Our standard
We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, on romanempireprinting.com and romanempireprintsupplies.com. We test our pages with automated tools and by hand, and we fix problems as we find them.
What we have done
- Pages can be zoomed and resized on phones and computers.
- Every part of the site can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Moving content (the announcement bar and the homepage slideshow) has a pause button and stops for visitors who ask their device to reduce motion.
- Images have text descriptions, and text and buttons meet contrast requirements.
- Forms have readable labels.
Third-party tools
Some features come from outside providers, such as the gang sheet builder, file upload, product customizer, contact forms, chat and checkout. We ask those providers to meet the same standard. If one of them gets in your way, contact us and we will take your order directly.
